I know you’re working on resolving a “minor” outage right now, and it’s preventing me from logging into Sketch or view my files (web browser app).
I have a client presentation right now, and while I understand the servers might be down, not being able to use local files is making things difficult (since logging in is required).
Any chance you could lift that restriction? I’d really appreciate it!
Sorry for this situation. Currently we are doing our best to resolve this ASAP. I understand you have a presentation right now but the services that allow prototype in the web app are down at the moment.
One thing you could try is to fetch a local cache version of the file and use it as local. To do this try these steps:
Quit Sketch
Open Finder, go to menu bar “Go” → Go to Folder…” and paste this string: ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/CloudDocuments
A window will pop up with a list of folders with alphanumeric names, sort by date and open the folders until you locate the local copy of the file you need
Once you’ve located the file, copy and paste it to your Desktop
Select the copy on your Desktop and press ⌘I (CMD+I) to display the file’s information window
Locate the “Name and extension” section and change the extension from “.sketchcloud” to “.sketch”
Open the file with Sketch (this will open as a local file)
This should allow you to have access to a local cache version of the document on your machine.
Please let me know if this solution works for you.
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, I can’t use Sketch right now. I got logged out and all I can see is this window. I can’t create any new files or do anything else.
