[Released] Sharing preview links only

Hello,
Is there a way to share a link with a preview only (not the artboards)?
I’d like to share the preview (with interaction) with the clients without giving them access to the artboards.
Sorry if there is an answer to that question already, I’m new to the forum.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! That’s possible. This post will explain more

I hope it helps

Thank you. I’m aware of this settings; however, is there a way to share a link with a preview only (and not the artboards)?
Thank you!

Do you mean that this (see red circle on screenshot) is disabled?

(here’s the link from the example)

Hi Jonne,
Thank you very much for your help.
The “left arrow” link (before the “Featured” is still allowing me to see the pages/artboards/symbols/text styles and similar) and I’m trying to avoid that.
I’d like to share/present prototypes only.
Again, thank you very much for your help.
Ana

Sorry, took me a while to get there. Unfortunately that’s not possible at the moment. I’ll make a note of it for the future.

Thank you.

Hey @DH2000

Quick update. We’re working on this. I expect it won’t take too long before we release it

Its time! Even XD has this.

Hi @jayp,

Welcome to the Forum, thanks for joining!

This has been released! This feature was part of the update released for version 100.

Check it out here: New sharing options for prototypes · Sketch

When you’re sharing the link you can now show or hide hotspots or the Toolbar, which has the UI controls to navigate to the artboards. Give it a try and let us know it goes! :raised_hands:

Thanks, thats great it does help, but the user can still expand into the artboards and view all the information. Am I missing something ?

Hmm I’m not sure what you mean, by “expand into the artboards”, can you share a bit more detail if possible? Or screenshots if possible, many thanks!

Even when de-selecting hot spots, toolbar and navigation, the user can still right click and access the document arboards and anything else in the that document. I would like to know how to turn that off so it is just a clickable prototype.

I have seen that the changes can be made in the browser only. Not in the Mac app. Thanks

Hi @jayp,

You can restrict the right clicl options in prototypes, both from the Mac app or on the Web app.

Try this prototype, you’ll be able to play it, but if you right click, you won’t see the option to navigate to the Artboards.

To restrict artboard access from the prototype player, you need to turn off the Inspect option in the Sharing options. To turn it off on the Mac app, click on File → Share… and expand the dropdown menu and turn off Can download and Inspect

To turn it off on the Web app, open the document, then click on the three dots icon on the top right. This will bring the Sharing dialog window. Click on the tab you need and disable the same permission (Inspect and Download)

In my screenshots, I’m disabling inspecting in a public link since it’s a common scenario: prepare a prototype for people outside your team / organization, but keep them focused on the prototype.

I hope this helps
