With 101.1 I’ve noted when creating shapes or using the pen tool, the cursor flickers in a distracting manner, I originally thought it was just with my Wacom tablet but it also seems to happen with a mouse as well.

Thank you for bringing this up! Could you share a quick screencast of the issue happening? I just tried to create several shapes using the mouse (and a trackpad) and I couldn’t notice any flickering

It actually went away after a system restart. I had installed the update and not manually restarted Sketch.
FWIW:
MacBook Pro M1
Wacom Intuos pro
Keyboard is some generic custom mechanical thingy

I also encountered the cursor flickering issue. After using Sketch for a while, the mouse cursor may occasionally flicker. When I select a layer and press the command or shift key, the mouse changes to a double arrow and then immediately returns to the default state. As long as I press the command key, the cursor flickers. However, after restarting Sketch, the mouse cursor returns to normal. I don’t know what is causing this, but it only happens after using Sketch for a while. Restarting Sketch resolves the issue.

It’s possible that this issue is caused by Photoshop. Try closing Photoshop and see if the problem persists.

This is definitely something we had not seen and very well indeed, some apps in the background (like other design apps with Canvases and more) could be part of the problem here. We’ll forward the issue to the team so they can verify and check out what could be happening here.
I’ve discovered the cause of the issue in Sketch. The bug occurs when the double arrow cursor is used to click the up or down arrows next to a value. This is a bug in Sketch.
When I use the double arrow cursor to click the up or down arrows next to a value, it triggers the mouse bug, causing the cursor to flicker.

Thank you for the report and the video, we were able to replicate on our end, and although the flickering is small/fast, it is really there.
We have already created a report for the team to check out this issue!
When I move the mouse here, the mouse cursor will turn into a double arrow, and then the cursor bug will be triggered. When I press the command or other modifier keys, the cursor will switch back and forth and flash. I hope Sketch can release a small version update to fix this bug, because I have been waiting for more than half a year and have not seen a fixed version yet.

I can confirm this issue has been resolved in our latest Beta version. Thanks to you, we reported this issue back then and the new version 2025.1, which is in Beta right now, includes the fix for the mouse flickering you reported.
You can find it here in our Beta page. However, you might want to wait until the final release. You know, alongside the bugs and issues you might find, this version comes with a new document model that will make your documents incompatible with the current Production version. So please proceed with caution!

In version 2025.1, if the mouse turns into a double arrow at the place where the four rounded corners are controlled, this bug will still be triggered
We reproduced the flickering mouse pointer when hitting the Command Key with the pointer over the handles. It should be solved with the latest Beta version. Let us know if you still experiencing it!

I’m using Sketch 101.6. I need a minor version update to fix this bug, or give me a fixed Sketch Unix executable file instead of waiting for a major version update in a few months.
I’m afraid we don’t create Sketch builds in that way, sorry 
We want to ensure Sketch will be ready for everyone before we launch it, so please be patient while waiting for the next major release.
As said, the beta is there for you to try if you want, but waiting until the next release is okay to avoid the inconvenience of document compatibility with the current version.
