Rotating an object jumps the object beyond the cursor position

Hello, I’m having a problem with rotating an object in Sketch Mac App.

When rotating an object it would jump further from the mouse at the start. Much more noticeable when working with small size objects. Seems a bit odd coming from other programs, is this a design decision or snapping related which can be disabled?

I’ve added a video below showing the behavior

Hi @zetrax,

Thank you for posting this and welcome to our community!

Regarding this matter, we can definitely confirm that this is not the intended outcome. We have reported this bug to our team for a fix.

One thing we noticed is that this issue only occurs when you hold down the Command key. If you press the shortcut ⇧ ⌘ R instead, this issue won’t happen. So, I suggest using this key combo as a workaround for now.

Once again, thank you for posting and for taking the time to help make Sketch better.

Cheers!

I’m just stopping by to let you all know that the jitter rotating issue reported here has a fix in version 101.

Version 101 is currently in the beta phase, but I suggest you install it and test the fix yourself.

You can download Sketch Beta from this link: https://www.sketch.com/beta/.

Give it a try, and let me know if you have any issues.

Cheers!
