Change Prototype Flow Names? Where?

Where can I find the option to change the flow name for each prototype I create?

Thanks alot!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi and welcome Violet!

It’s great to see you here in the Forum!

Prototypes will take the name of the Artboard that you set as a starting point. To set a starting point, select an Artboard and on the menu bar select Prototype → Use Artboard as Start Point. This is how it looks on the Mac app:

On the Web app, Prototype flows will be grouped by page (you can also change the page name on the Mac app)

I hope this is useful and please don’t hesitate to post any othe questions! We’re expanding our prototype features! (try the latest beta  )

I understand, thank you
but what I want to know is whether there is a way to make the A-1 artboard name in Mac not consistent with the name of the first page of the flow?

I hope the two names can be distinguished to facilitate my flow design.

Example:

Thank you again! :slightly_smiling_face:

This would be very very useful

I am still waiting for their reply.

There is no option to name your artboards and prototypes differently yet, including the beta. The artboard name is used as your flow name, as @dfmedrano pointed out with his example.

However I’d love to see that implemented too, e.g. by adding a text input field below the “Set as prototype start point” checkbox in the prototype tab.

Hi Violet,

As Carmen pointed out, having a different name for the prototype, independent from the starting point artboard is not supported yet. Each prototype takes the name of the starting point.

Although we’ve taken note of the interest in being able to set a different name for each one.

Thanks for sharing!
