Up/down arrows for font size

I never really use the dropdown, I would much prefer to have regular up/down arrows with the hover. With Shift-click for increments of 10.
Maybe this could be on a toggle in the settings?

Now I always end up setting the font size manually, which I find annoying.
I know about the left-right drag on the title, but it’s too fast for small increment imho. It’s nice for bigger changes though.

You can use the arrow keys ↑ ↓ to adjust by 1. Hold Shift while doing so to adjust by 10.

I realize it’s keyboard-based and not cursor-based, but hope it helps!

Hi there. If you find the title-scrubbing to be a bit overzealous, you might find it useful to hold down the Option key when dragging on the Size. This will increase the text-size in increments of 0.1, rather than 1.0. (And holding down Shift will increase it in increments of 10.)
Additionally, if you weren’t already aware, you might find it useful to use keyboard-shortcuts to change the size of your text. Pressing Option/Command/+ will increase it, and Option/Command/- will decrease it.

Thanks for the tips guys.

@paulozoom That’s useful. I’d prefer not to have to focus first, but it’s good to remember.

@Brett Great, I didn’t know the Option/Command/+ shortcut, so I don’t have to focus in the size box. Option dragging is nice too, although I prefer staying in full size increments usually.

But in general, I prefer not having to move my hands from my mouse for those kinds of adjustements, so I’ll probably just stay a bit frustrated by it and would still prefer arrows too. :upside_down_face:

Please bring back the clickable arrows for numeric fields.

Now I have to click inside the field and use the arrow keys (2 actions at least as opposed to one). Dragging is not working for me in small (1) increments. I always have to readjust and readjust again. Until I give up and use the “click inside and use the keys” option. More added clicks.

Bad.

The arrows were very convenient.

If you’re worried about the dashboard’s cleanliness and the additional visual noise they create, then make them appear when you hover over a field (as is implemented in some other tools) and everyone will be happy.

Agree, they were so useful.

They’d appear on hover in previous sketch version, and I don’t remember anyone complaining about it.
