Change Font Size Used to Show Measurements

Is it possible to change the size of the font used to indicate measurements on the canvas? When holding down Option, and mousing over layers to see the size of or distances to elements, the size of the text is quite small. I’m able to adjust the color of the lines and the text bubble to increase the contrast in Settings, but is it possible to adjust the size of the text?

Hey, welcome to the Forum Conrad!

Thanks for joining and sharing this. Currently there’s no way to directly increase type size in Sketch’s interface, but there are a couple of workarounds:

1 Activate Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom

This option will zoom in where your mouse cursor is so you can get a bigger text size for the measurement guides. You can use keyboard shortcuts or trackpad gestures

On the screenshot, you may have noticed the option “Text size (Display)” but Apple only supports that for a handful of apps like Mail or Notes.

2 Change your display’s resolution

The other way is to adjust your display’s resolution to a lower value in your Mac’s System Settings; but that will make everything look bigger, not just type size.

I’ll share this with the team and note that we’ve received related requests in the past about being able to adjust type size on Sketch’s interface (Layer List , Inspector, etc)

Welcome again and please keep the suggestions coming! :raised_hands:
