Could we get more advanced Symbols with States/Variants, and a deeper understanding of UI elements?
This is the last major feature I’m missing in Sketch when comparing it to other tools. F…a’s capabilities in this area are insanely good. I’d love to see something like this come to Sketch

I really wish Sketch leapfrogs other tools when it comes to symbol states. The main time consuming activity when it comes to defining the states is having to define every single state manually. Another downside to this approach is all the “variants” increasing the size of the file.
A workflow I’ve been thinking about is if the main symbol with all the different elements are defined, as long as the layouts are setup correctly, wouldn’t it be easier for the tool to ‘automatically’ create the variant itself without the designer having to define it. There can be a preview mode where the design can interact with the various properties to see how the symbol works and modify when necessary. The designer could possibly define which of the properties can be exposed to the end-user and keep others private.
