Does anyone know of a way to quickly create a symbol instance of a selected symbol?
Hey, welcome to the Forum! We’ve been tracking this request. Having a contextual option to add a new symbol instance from a selected a symbol source can help speed up your workflow.
In the meantime, in my experience, using the Insert Window and searching for the symbol by name is the fastest way, specially if you are familiar with the library or document you’re using.
Start by pressing C on your keyboard, then type right away the symbol’s name; once you find it, double click to add it to the canvas. I hope this helps.
