Using Sketch Athens (latest) on Mac Powerbook.
I randomly run into issues where a file will display correctly on Sketch Cloud, showing various font weights and styles. Then suddenly for no apparent reason, all the fonts display on SketchCloud appear as plain Roboto with different line spacing.. essentially losing everything. The file still looks fine in the app, but when you check the Document settings (where fonts are usually embedded so they appear correctly on any browser) - it only shows 1 Roboto font. It is supposed to detect all the fonts used in your document automatically and embed them when enabled. But it fails to see any other fonts.
There is no way I have found to fix this - other than opening my template file and copy/paste all the artboard/frames into a new ‘good’ file.
I also removed all Roboto fonts and reinstalled them.
Did you unembed Roboto from your document and/or library? If you haven’t, that can help solve the issue:
- Unembed from your document and library
- Save new versions for both files, close the documents and quit Sketch
- If you un-embedded fonts from the library, accept the update before closing
- Relaunch and re-embed
