Greetings! I’m totally new to Sketch and I work solo, not part of a team with no need to collaborate with others. Are there simple tutorials (with videos) that can demonstrate how to use the basic tools? Thank you. Looking forward to seeing what Sketch can do! — SAL
Exploring the Sketch interface.
You have a lot of resources on sketch.com. There is a series of Sketch 101 videos that can get you started. I also suggest reading full documentation, helps a lot later when you’re wondering if something is possible or not.
Based upon your reply, I found the Sketch 101 videos which is exactly what I require to get started. My issue with finding things on the website is that there is so much, it is overwhelming! Thank you @wwwedran !
One issue I’m encountering is that the training videos keep mentioning Artboards but the online Sketch documentation does not mention them and the Artboard option on the insert pop-down menu shown in the videos does not exist in the version of Sketch on my computer.
Ah, apparently Artboards have been replaced with Frames? I found this video explanation:
Hey @Sal
Welcome to the Forum!
Indeed, Artboards have evolved into Frames in the latest version. That video walkthrough is very useful. If you’re new, start reading what’s new in the latest update: Sketch Athens
Then, continue with this post from the blog: Frames and Graphics: A not-so-short guide. This post explains in depth how the new containers, frames and graphics, work and all the new possibilities they bring. The 101 courses are still useful for many other topics like layers, symbols or libraries.
The team is working hard to bring new resources to learn the latest features, so stay tuned and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or feedback.
