Nested Artboards

Sometimes is very useful to be able to put an Arboard over another artboard (For instance, emulating a modal)
I know it’s possible in prototype mode, but when just sharing ideas in on a meet it’s easier to do it like that.

Hi Leonardo.
Whilst actual nested Artboards are not possible, what you might find helpful for your particular use-case is to turn the modal/Overlay Artboard into a Symbol. Then you can place an Instance of that Artboard Symbol on top of any other Artboard, or multiple other Artboards, for static/non-prototype purposes.
This won’t affect the rest of your prototype and Overlays which will continue to operate in the same way.
I hope this helps.

I’m using workarounds, but that makes me bloat my symbol library, witch I would prefer to avoid.

Hey @leohans, we’re adding some styling features for Artboards in the next version. While it won’t fully solve your problem, I think it can make nesting look a bit nicer (you’ll still see the Artboard title), but it could be a good start for quick brainstorming. I hope we can address this fully in further iterations.

That’s nice.
Even when the artboard name may be annoying in that case, the most important thing is to be hable to use the artboard inside the other in the tree structure, pretty like Frame vs Groups in Figma.
