Mac OS: Tagging *.sketch files yellow in Finder?

Hey everyone,

I have a query that’s perhaps more suited for Mac OS aficionados rather than Sketch users directly. I’m wondering if there’s a way to configure Mac OS so that every *.sketch file automatically gets tagged with a yellow label in the file list within Finder.

Is this possible? And if so, how would one go about setting it up?

Thanks in advance for any insights or advice you can offer!

Hi there!

The one option that immediately came to mind is using the Mac app, Hazel.

This lets you perform actions on documents based on rules that you can configure. I don’t think you can set one rule for your entire drive (at least not that I’ve found), however you can set up a role for specific folders (another good thing is once you have one setup, you can add additional folders, duplicate that original rule and drag those in to each additional folder so you don’t have to set up the rule multiple times).

I hope that this helps!

I’d recommend Hazel, too. Very easy to set up!

Came here to recommend Hazel and it’s completely unsurprising to me that @Keir got there first :joy:
