I know many users have this issue so im suggesting for a better performance.
The issue:
In Sketch, when making changes to multiple symbols at the same time, the application becomes extremely slow and starts to freeze with long loading times.
At first, I assumed the issue was related to using an older MacBook with an M1 chip, but the same behavior occurs on a newer MacBook with an M4 chip. This indicates that the problem is not hardware-related but rather an issue with Sketch itself, which struggles to handle these operations and causes significant lag.
Hello @wigopaj591, I’ve moved this post into the Share an issue section; it fits better here. Hope you don’t mind!
We’re addressing all the performance issues we can, so we’re interested in reviewing this document, if possible. Could you send us a local copy of the document or its workspace URL? Since this is not suitable for sharing in a public forum, you can attach it to an email sent to productsupport@sketch.com, where we will respond as soon as possible.
If you decide to send the URL of the document in your workspace, we won’t be able to open it right away though, so you might want to allow Support Access, which will grant us access for a week.
We hope to get to the bottom of this. Thanks for taking the time to report it!
