Graphical artifacts in prototype preview mode

Hello, I’m noticing severe graphical artifacts in prototype preview mode, especially on PC. This prevents proper navigation between screens. The issue has been observed on different computers and different prototypes.

Here is a video example: https://youtu.be/MQjlFodgbYk

Hello @pixmen!

Last week, we started receiving reports identical to yours, and we started investigating, since we didn’t change anything substantial in our rendering that could be affecting Windows users.

In the end, it seems related to how Chrome (and Chromium-based web browsers like Edge) handle hardware acceleration on PC. As a workaround, please ask anyone with this issue to deactivate hardware acceleration in Chrome. This guide outlines the steps for doing it in Chrome.

The issue seems to be on Chrome’s side and its a bug already acknowledged by them. Google has already assigned max priority to it and is working on a solution. See the issue in the Chromium ticketing tool here.

I’m afraid that now it’s a matter of keeping the hardware acceleration deactivated, or using Firefox (which is the only widely used browser that doesn’t use Chromium), and wait for Chrome to release the update to Chrome 143, which seems to be the target version according to the thread linked above.

I hope this helps!

I am having the exact same issues as @pixmen. Only on PCs.

Ok I guess we’ll wait for a Chrome update…

Hello, I would like to post an issue in Sketch Workspace website, when it is opened in Windows. When we play the prototype there are glitches appear, a black box shape appears on-and-off randomly across the screen. This do not happen when we open the Sketch Workspace website in MacOS. Anybody experience the same? Any suggestion how to find the problem that makes this issue appear? Thank you for any help.

Hello @somawiraga, and welcome to the forum!

I’ve taken the liberty to merge your case with the previous posts in this topic. Unfortunately, this is an issue on Chromium-based browsers. See my first answer to see how the case is going.

Hope it helps!
