Hey, so I have been getting a lot of check your credentials warning while working recently. I think I had to log into my account 5-6 times just today on the application. I remain logged in on the browser however.
I am currently working both on the Athens version(2025.1.1) as well as the previous version(101.9) to keep file integrity while I get used to the new approaches. Although I keep one closed while working I assumed it would be fine(like installing and using the beta at the same time). Is it because I keep two versions of Sketch on my computer?
Did anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions to improve this situation without completely abandoning the previous version?
Yes, this is expected when running multiple final versions. Since preferences are stored in the same place, you’ll be signed out. It doesn’t matter if you keep one app closed, you need to quit it and run only one final version at a time. You can keep multiple final versions in your Mac, but you can only run one at a time.
If you want to work simultaneously on 101.9 and Athens you can use the beta. Beta versions store their information in a separate place, so you can run both without any issue.
Just keep in mind that beta versions are under constant development and there may be some bugs, so having a backup of your files is always recommended.
Hello Jorge, thank you for swift reply. When I meant closed I meant I have quit the version. However I will try it again with your instructions and observe if it persists. If else I now know switching to the beta is the solution. Thanks.
