Export PNG with transparent background

Hi Sketch Pro’s. I am completely new to Sketch and have a simple question. Is it possible to export a group \ shape with a transparent background?

I would like to export the following image with the shadow, border and icon intact, everything else should be transparent. The export “looks” correct when I select it to be exported in the app (below)

but when I open the exported file, it has a “grey” background (below).

Is what I am trying to do even possible?

hey!

If you’re opening the exported asset in an App like Preview, this might be the window background you’re seeing!

If you want to confirm:

• Import the PNG to Sketch
• Create a rectangle behind the bitmap
• Check if the asset reacts to the background!
