Comment visibility for unlogged users

Hello,

When I share a file through web, is there an option to enable comments visible to people who aren’t logged in? I’m not entirely sure if that’s possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello there @damiandmowski :waving_hand:

At the moment, commenting is only available to people who are logged into a Sketch account.

Even if you share a public link to a document, anyone who wants to leave or see a comment must sign in first. This helps you keep track of who is providing feedback on your designs and ensures that every comment is attributed to a specific person.

From our experience, we generally find that anonymous comments aren’t the best, and having a name attached to comments makes it much easier to follow up, ask for clarification, and keep the conversation organized.

I hope this helps clarify things! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers! :folded_hands:

Thanks for getting back to me so fast! Just to clarify - I’m actually trying to figure out how to view/read the comments rather than posting… Any tips on that?

Hi again!

It’s the same for viewing as for posting: to see comments, you do need to be signed in to a Sketch account.

IMO, the best option here is for your stakeholders or teammates to create a quick Sketch account. It’s a very fast process, and once they’re in, they’ll have a much better experience following the feedback loops (they can do it here: Sketch ).

I would prefer a simple toggle, similar to what you have for allowing file downloads, so that I can make comments public when needed.

That’s a nice suggestion, I will pass it internally
