Combined Shape Layer Order Not Changing

OSX v12.7.1

  • I have a couple different combined shapes. When I reorder the shape layers (whole shape layer, not paths within within it), it doesn’t change visual order. The same back layer remains back layer despite moving it forward in layers.

That’s curious. Are the grey shapes in that document filled with an actual grey colour, or are they semi-transparent black?
If they are semi-transparent black, then that would explain why it doesn’t visually appear any different on the Canvas.
Otherwise, if you’re still having issues, can you drop these layers into a new document and then share that in the forum, and we can talk a look at it for you.
