I’m having this issue where if I start dragging an element to a different artboard, but then decide to copy it (using the option key) , the original element on the original artboard reappears misplaced on top of the layer list.
If the option key is pressed before leaving the artboard, all is fine. But if the element has been moved to the new artboard already, it seems to lose the awareness of where it was in the layer list.
Thank you for reaching out! I wanted to let you know that we’re addressing this issue in the upcoming update. Version 102 (currently in beta) includes a fix, so you shouldn’t encounter this problem once it’s released. Please feel free to update as soon as the official version is available.
I have the 102 beta version installed (187436), and unfortunately, the bug is still present.
You have to press the option key once the layer is fully moved out of the first artboard, not partway. You can see in my video I do both examples with the bottom blue square.
Thank you for pointing that out. The issue happened on my side in that specific scenario. If you are moving a layer and it is already out of the artboard, holding the option key will change the layer order in the original artboard.
I will escalate this to the team. I will let you know as soon we have more information about it.
