Can't customize toolbar. Icons become frozen after a second.

Where does this issue happen: Mac. MacOS 15.4

Can you provide a short summary of your case: right click toolbar, press customize (sometimes have to press a few times to trigger it), icons on the toolbar start to wiggle, instant you try to drag a new tool to the toolbar the icons stop wiggling.

Could you confirm a couple of details:

  1. Does this issue happen if you start the app in safe mode (quit Sketch > hold down ⇧ key > reopen Sketch while holding down the ⇧ key)?
  2. Which version of Sketch are you using?

I tested this on my end using our Beta and version 101.8 but could not replicate the same problem.

I’m on Version 101.8 (182106). I just tried it in Safe Mode and it’s working as expected.

If this works as expected in safe mode, it could indicate that a plugin is causing the issue.

I recommend the following steps:

  • Go to Sketch > Settings > Plugins tab and disable all the plugins in that list.
  • Quit Sketch.
  • Reopen Sketch normally.
  • Test to see if the issue persists with the plugins disabled.

If the issue no longer occurs, I advise enabling the plugins one by one until you identify the one causing the problem.

Hi Cris,

I actually just installed Sketch the other day, so I don’t have any plugins enabled. Unsplash was installed by default, but it’s not enabled.
