I’m working on a research report in Sketch and plan to export it as a multi-page PDF. Do you know if there’s a way to add hyperlinks to a URL within a sentence? Thanks!
Hi Damian,
This is possible! You need to use the full URL in the Sketch document, for example: https://sketch.com/home
. Using the full url will make the text interactive in the PDF.
The URL text will have the same formatting as your document, so if you want your links to be blue and underlined, you’ll need to apply those styles in your document.
What cannot be done is that text is linked to a URL, like this
Do you plan on enabling Sketch users to add hyperlinks to elements such as text or frames? I was just looking for a way to add a link and found another thread. Later, while closing the forum, I came across this thread. I assume that being able to add hyperlinks would be welcomed and appreciated.
Hey @damiandmowski
I have an update for this! A colleague kindly pointed out that I was missing another way of adding links. You can actually add hyperlinks to words.
Here’s a video, and I hope it helps!
If you use this method, remember to check the color of the text layer. When you chooose the Add link option, it will look blue on canvas, but the link color in the PDF will be the one that’s set for the text layer in the Inspector.
