The original symbol containing all the content info metadata includes a UDH4K icon, with a larger width, that is later override with the HD icon, with a smaller width. Both icons are set as Graphics, not frames.
I’m not sure if this is related, but I’ve noticed that in 2025.2 Graphic containers have Width and Height resizing properties, which, I might be wrong, but it’s something I don’t recall seeing in 2025.1
You shouldn’t see sizing options for layers inside Graphics. I’ll file this as something to fix. Can you share your macOS version with me? I can reproduce the issue, but it’ll help to have your OS version, too.
About the symbol stretching, I think this is related to a change in 2025.2:
Nested Symbols now preserve their current dimensions when you swap them within a Symbol that has a stack layout.
Can you share with me a sample file with your symbol to take a closer look? productsupport@sketch.com
With the nested symbols change you mention… How can I achieve what I previously had?
I have symbols inside of stack layout that I need to be able to swap with other symbols, that might have a different width, and the whole layout need to be able to adapt to that different width.
