Nested symbol doesn't preserve icon dimensions

Hi,

So I’ll try to explain this as best I can.

I’ve got a library of icons created at 24x24px as I need to use different sizes throughout.

I created a symbol that contains a label and an icon resized to 16px x 16px. I put this icon/label symbol inside another symbol, let’s call it row symbol.I I place row symbol inside my layout and I want to change the icon/label to a different icon. However, when I do this, it replaces it to the original 24x24px dimensions. There’s no option to preserve the dimensions in the overrides panel. Any help appreciated.

OK, so there’s a solution posted here: Symbol override in stacked layout resets to original size and style
But it seems like a strange way to preserve the icon dimensions if it already has fixed width and height.

I am in discussion with the development team now to tweak this behaviour, so that any nested Symbols that have been resized differently to their original size will remain at the same resized dimensions when overriding them, rather than resizing to their original dimensions. So if this happens, then this change will be implemented in a future update. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.
