Was coming here to see if there was any update on the idea of hiding certain pages or frames from viewers/devs (the “ready for dev” option posted before is probably the closest to what would solve our pain point) and I’m indeed confused by the whole thread. Lots of messages have to do with prototypes but that feels very different from the original request and the “ready for dev” feature suggestion?
Also here for an update on this, something that hurts me every day, having to have work that is in draft published in the workspace. Can I please just hide pages that are not ready for prime time?
Hey folks — we have a solution for this in active development now. It’s progressing nicely and we’ll have more to share soon!
Hey @here, happy to say we’ve shipped…the opposite of hidden pages. Instead of choosing what to hide, you can now choose what to share!
A few more details in the announcements post:
With Previews, you can choose which pages and prototypes in your document to share, and keep the rest hidden. You can create multiple previews per document, each with their own link.
For each preview, you can optionally password protect them, or give them an expiry date (after which, their link no longer works). You can also choose if you want to allow inspecting and asset exports, or commenting with a Sketch account.
Admins in your Workspace will get a new settings page showing every preview, with options to remove them or expire their links.
We really hope this works for most, if not all of you, who requested this. I’ll close thread now, as we consider it shipped. But please, don’t let that stop you opening fresh suggest an idea posts related to it if you feel something is missing or we could improve on it in any way.
Thanks!
