Make OpenType features more accessible.

Please bring OpenType features to the right panel, within the Text section! The current OpenType Features menu is a hassle to use.

It has 3 levels, and automatically closes when you select an option, having you dig through very thin menus to toggle options on/off.

The way other design tools approach this is much easier:

  1. The menu stays open for you to toggle each option on/off.
  2. All the options are laid out on top of each other
  3. There’s a preview when you hover the option with your mouse.

To be fair, all of those options beyond “Text on Path” (on the Sketch app) could be added to a menu on the sidebar. See an example of how easy it would be for users to access these features:

Hey, @eryc , welcome to the Forum!

There’s already an option available that can help use the Open Type features in a much easier way: add the Fonts button to the toolbar, then use the Typography option.

This option will display a list with the OpenType options and you can use and test them faster. I hope this helps.

Oh, thank you! That is indeed much better.

Doesn’t feel as part of the app, but at least it does persist when you change options, and shows some previews of what to expect… Thank you Jorge!

For sure we can improve here, but I’m glad this helps! :raising_hands:
