Not sure if this is intended but locked layers are selectable in Sketch Web, and often those layers are large overlays that end up catching most clicks. Maybe they can remain selectable through the right-click layer list but they shouldn’t be selectable by default?

You’re absolutely right; previously, locked layers weren’t selectable, but this behavior was intentionally changed to allow full inspection of all elements, even if they’re locked in the Mac App.
That said, I completely understand your point about large overlays getting in the way. I’ll pass your feedback to the team so we can take another look and see if there’s a better click-balance
