Is there a way to merge duplicate symbols in Sketch?

I use to use a plugin to do this but it no longer works in the current version of Sketch.

This seems like it should be a standard feature in Sketch to help keep design systems nice and tidy. Is there currently a way of doing this I don’t know about?

There’s a plugin for that, but haven’t used it for a while.
You should give it a try.

I’m unsure if it’s been updated recently, have you used it?
Sketch needs to include this as a native function I think, it would be really really useful.

I do prefer another plugin called “Symbol Swapper” that I do prefer because I have more control of what I merge, however it’s sadly broken since latest Sketch Release.

Thanks Victor. Still no change in this sadly. Hopefully in the next update we’ll have a native symbol/library swap tool.

I recently used this tool in the latest version of Sketch, but frustratingly all of my instances for it resized themselves instead of retaining their scales/distortions. Hopefully this will get resolved soon.
