Hey! guys, sorry to bother you again.
I’m currently using Sketch version 101.9. For some reason, even though both of my default templates are checked and should be working, none of the templates actually show up, so I can’t use them at all.
These default templates are incredibly convenient—I used to rely on them a lot for design work.
Now, they appear to be missing just like in the screenshot, and it’s really frustrating. I’ve even tried downloading the latest default templates from the official website, but still can’t open them.
I’m hoping there’s a fix for this, as I really don’t want to update to version 2025.1.3 yet…
I’m about to start a new project, so I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks again!
Hi Violet.
Our latest Sketch update replaces Artboards with a new container called Frames. This means that the Library we provide with the Device Templates had to be updated, making it incompatible with older versions of the app.
If you are still using the previous version of Sketch, you can use the previous Library for your Artboard templates. I have attached this file here. To add it as a Library, please follow these steps:
Download the attached Sketch file.
Move it from your Downloads folder to somewhere on your Mac where you want to keep it (and where it won’t get accidentally deleted).
In Sketch, open the Sketch > Settings window and switch to the Libraries tab.
In the Finder, locate the Sketch file you downloaded and drag it into the Libraries tab.
This way, the Device Templates will be available to you as they used to be.
That’s wonderful! Thank you again!
Your team’s efficiency is truly impressive, and I’m so glad the design industry has you.
Please keep up the great work~
