Even with the checkbox unchecked, Sketch still adds “Copy…” to a duplicated layer.
I tried toggling the checkbox on and off again, but it didn’t make any difference.
Hey Leo!
Thanks for raising this. This is the second report we’ve gotten of this and we’d love to have a copy of this Component to see if we can get it to happen. On the first case it was happening everywhere, but a quick rebuild of the preferences file solved the issue. However, they were still having some cases where Symbols where still exhibiting the issue.
- Close the Mac app
- Open Finder
- In the Menubar, select Go > Go to Folder… or press ⇧⌘****G (Shift-Command-G)
- Enter the following path in the dialog that appears: ~/Library/Preferences/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3.plist and click Go
- The preferences file will be located. Drag it to your Desktop and relaunch the Mac app.
If everything is now working as expected, you can delete the preferences file from your Desktop.
Note: When you delete the preferences file you may need to set some preferences in the app and plugins again.
Let us know if this helps!
Thanks!, unfortunately deleting preferences didn’t solve it.
Hey @leohans,
Thanks for trying that out! Would you mind sharing this specific Component with us via productsupport@sketch.com?
We’d love to take a look and see if we can find out why this is happening.
How do I share the specific component?
You can share:
- the Document URL with us (make sure to enable Support Access
so we can check it out!) - You can save a copy of the document on your mac, and then zip it and send it attached to an email to productsupport@sketch.com.
