I know we can do this in the device level but wouldn’t it be nice to have it in the app level? Also why nobody asked for it so far, am I missing something?

@muratgozel can you confirm which version of the app you’re using?
- Sketch Mirror (Legacy)
- Sketch · View & Mirror (Workspaced-based viewer)
We haven’t updated the legacy app for quite some time cause the tech behind is a bit dated, but we know some teams still rely on it (they don’t use the workspace feature, etc).
However, for the View & Mirror version, we have an upcoming update that will include enhancements in this area, specially when mirroring Artboards (and preventing the app from going to sleep while you do this!).
