Let’s say I need an input field with optional elements like a text space for feedback.
Is there any way hide the field in the instance instead of changing it’s contents to just a space?

Right now the only way you can do that is if that optional feedback element is a symbol. I recall someone else asking about this earlier and I think one of the Sketch team members had mentioned that they are working on something to address this. Let me see if I can find that discussion.

Ah ha! Found it Hide any element in the symbol - #2 by paulozoom @paulozoom says they have this working internally now, so it sounds like it could be coming soon!
