MCP not working with Claude

Hi!! I’m having a lot of problems lately with Sketch MCP + Claude Desktop, last month everything was working fine but now it can’t connect or at least this is happening to me!
I have all well configured both in Sketch and Claude, but when I prompt Claude is unable to connect it keeps getting timeout errors.
Can someone help me with this??

Hi Noela,

Claude Desktop has gone through several updates recently, so the first thing to check for is that you’ve updated to the latest version: 1.1.9493 (b58a0b)

Once you’re running the latest try this:

  • Turn off the MCP in Sketch
  • Quit and relaunch Sketch > turn on the MCP
  • Switch to Claude and check MCP connectivity

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your response.

I’m running Claude last version and I have tried several times relaunching everything, I even changed the port of the MCP localhost in Sketch to validate if that was the problem… but Claude still can’t access Sketch.

Which Sketch and macOS versions are you running? I’m on 2025.3.4 and Tahoe 26.4. I can test other versions and see if I can reproduce the problem.

Hi Jorge,

Same as you on Sketch version but macOS is Tahoe 26.3.1 (a).

:warning: Update: our connector was unlisted  We’re working to bring it back. Sorry for the trouble

I have some good news! We recently published a connector in Claude’s Marketplace! If the current install is giving you trouble, try this:

  1. Stop the MCP server in Sketch
  2. Uninstall it in Claude: Settings > Developer > click the trash icon
  3. Switch to Settings > Connectors > click on Browse connectors
  4. Search for “Sketch” and install the connector
  5. Restart Claude and start the MCP server from Sketch

Let me know how it goes
