I like to keep the prototype player on my second screen to keep checking my overall design as I work on it on the main screen. However, whenever I switch to any other Artboard on the main screen, the view in the prototype player immediately follows it. This is extremely annoying when I try to work on an overlay layer, say a mega menu, and see the changes in context. How can tell Sketch not to change my view if I change my active Artboard and only change the view when I manually change it using the dropdown menu?

Hey Juhani,
Welcome to the Forum! Thanks for taking the time to share this! Currently, the prototype player will always display the artboard you’ve selected on the Canvas, so the view will change. But I can clearly see the benefits of your proposal. We’ve also received mentions about this from other users.
If you don’t mind, I’ll edit the post’s category so it’s now under Suggest an idea and others can add their vote to it.
Thanks and welcome again!
Hello Everyone,
Is there a way to lock the view in the prototype player while you work on the main screen, or could a feature be added to allow manual control of the view switch?
