[beta] setting a canvas background colour and using the colour picker on it returns the default colour

Thanks a lot for catching this, great eye! I’ve just tested it on my end and can reproduce the same behavior, where the color picker fails to detect the set canvas color.
I’m filing this internally so our team can review it closely and address the issue in an upcoming update.
