Aligning Overlay Ghost image to Layer/Screen

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed this happens with a few of my artboards and symbols but not sure why.

In the image attached below you can see the ghost image of the Overlay (in align relative to layer mode), not aligning exactly as I want it on the artboard. Due to that when I’m playing prototypes there is a very slight bump, probably because the overlays aren’t 100% aligned to the layer/screen.

Is it possible to align the ghost image of the overlay perfectly on the artboard using snapping or X and Y values? I know there are offset fields, but it takes a while using them to get the layers perfectly aligned.

Thanks

Hey @hone_w thanks for sharing this! We’ve noticed this stopped working in the Beta, and the team is actively looking for a fix as we speak.

You can also adjust the position of the overlay using the Align section in the Prototype Tab in the Inspector.

This is certainly a really valid use-case and we’ll forward the comments to the team in charge of this feature. Wonder if we can enable the alignment actions (Align Top, left, etc) when selecting the overlay on the frame where it should appear to make the alignment easier.).

Thanks once agian for reporting this!
