Hi guys! (I am not pro Sketch user, but I am fan of the App since beta times).
I have very basic question: I have a very element intensive SVG. I need a section of it (green rectangle). How do I do it?
Pardon my English (I need ONLY green section). The image here is an example.
Please see my explanation picture

Hello!
Since what you want is to select is a very specific set of elements within your SVG, you can use the Marquee Tool X .
- Press and hold X
- Then, click and drag your selection on top of the elements you want to export
- Wrap them in a frame (so theyβre easier to export) using β F
- Export the newly created frame via the Export section in the Inspector
- Done!

Thank you! I think my SVG is too complex for this. Here is a file: https://fileport.io/Lbyrbzn3c7ZX
I cannot use your suggestion. Maybe because of layers.
p.s. At the end I want exactly what is inside green rectangle.

Ah, @Brett had thought you wanted something similar, and he suggested resizing the frame to crop the artwork to your needs.
- Select the frame
- Press and hold β
- Resize the frame so it matches what you need
- Done!

Thank you for suggestions! It is some progress already!
Still, my question of this century to all vector editors is still open
p.s. Even century old question is not answered, I can move forward with this cool Frame thing. (Never used it before!).
