Not sure if this is technically a bug, but this card appeared in the bottom left corner of my sketch file in beta. Clicking it caused the large update promo banner to appear for 2025.3. Since I was already running 2025.3, this feels like a bug.
I went through with the update, all seems good. Not really worried about this, but decided to report in case it’s an accident.

Thanks for sharing this. I can see why it feels a different off, although it’s not a bug. There was indeed an update available for the 2025.3 beta, but the version is the same: 2025.3, the build number is the part that changes. Beta builds bring updates with the same version number.
When you update a final version you can see the difference up front, because the version number changes from 2025.#.x to 2025.#.y
I’ve passed this along to the team to evaluate of course.
Yeah I figured. Might make sense to include build numbers in beta updates as a simple solution.
Our current update setup doesn’t distinguish between updates with the same major version number. But if you’re seeing this, it’s because there’s a legitimate update available. More than likely we’ll be doing daily updates on this beta (and we aim to do this on most betas) so it’s best just to click the button. Tbh, I’d much prefer us to add an option for automatic updates within the same major version number for beta, but that’s another conversation for another day.
