Hey everyone
Our latest update — Dublin — is here!
This is our first major update of 2026, and it’s focused on things many of you have been asking for — selection colors, independent borders, corner smoothing controls, and an all-new eyedropper that works with Color Variables. On top of that, there are over 150 improvements and fixes across the app.
I’ll dive into the details below, but here’s a video TL;DR:
Selection colors
You can now quickly view and adjust colors across your entire selection. When you select multiple layers or containers, a new Inspector section shows all the fills, borders, text colors, and tints in that selection.
Adjust a selection color and it will update every layer that uses it. Hover a selection color in the Inspector to highlight matching layers on the Canvas, or click the chevron to narrow your selection to just those layers.
By default, we sort selection colors by frequency and separate opacities, but you can also sort by color and combine opacities. If your selection includes Symbols alongside regular layers, we show overrides and selection colors together.
Independent borders
You can now set borders independently for each side of a rectangle, frame, or graphic. You’ve got three options when you set a border now; all sides equally, a single side, or custom widths per side.
There’s also a new option to center dashed borders so dashes fall neatly on corners, and advanced border settings (ends, joins, dash) now apply to text layers too.
Better corners, corner smoothing controls, and more
Smooth corners now look much better for squircles, capsules, and corners greater than 90°. There’s also new “Max” option that keeps corners at their most rounded regardless of size, which is great for pills and capsules.
In the Inspector, we’ve added a new corner settings panel where you can precisely control just how smooth your corners are. You can also now round corners on combined shapes with boolean operations.
An all-new eyedropper
The eyedropper tool can now pick up and apply Color Variables. When the loupe hovers over a Color Variable, you’ll see its name in a label. Hold ⇧ to select or apply the variable instead of the raw color.
The loupe is more compact by default, giving you better context while picking. Scroll to resize it, and right-click to reset.
150+ improvements and fixes
Elsewhere in the release, we’ve made well over 100 fixes and a bunch more smaller improvements. Here are a few highlights:
- Drop multiple images onto the Canvas and we’ll arrange them in a neat grid, or in a masonry-style layout for images with mixed dimensions
- Control fills and borders for individual layers within a combined shape
- The Color panel is easier to use, with gradient presets one click away and a more consistent flow between custom colors and Color Variables
- Toggle Pixel Fitting from the Arrange menu or with ⌃⌘X
As ever, you’ll find the (extremely long) full list of changes on the changelog.
A big thanks to everyone who tested Dublin during the beta and shared your feedback to help make things better.
As a reminder, if you have feature requests, ideas, or feedback, the best place for those is now over on Discord. See you there!
