Png image remove invisible background

Hello. So I attached an image below. That’s a png image that when I imported into sketch it has this invisible background. Before the big overhaul update of sketch, I used to double click on it, click enter, and that would disappear. Now it doesent work anymore. Any solutions on how to get rid of that easily?

Hello @bryanmaxim,

This is a change introduced by the new Trim tool in the menu bar (Layer > Image > Trim Transparent Pixels), which was previously only accessible through the bitmap tools, on double-clicking. We have made sure to introduce improvements that make it more accurate (and reliable as well).

Thanks to this, now you can also use a custom shortcut for this new menu item. Just go to System Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > App Shortcuts and add the one you want. You can learn more details about the process in this support article on Apple’s site.

Additionally, you can use the Command Bar to make it quicker (on selection, push the S key, then write “trim” and hit enter).

In any case, we’ve seen other users talking about this after the release and we’re gathering all this feedback for future consideration as well. We know it’s a change that might be perceived as a feature drop, but you can still use it, and now with more options than before.

Happy to hear your thoughts!

Amazing ! Thanks a lot
